Sweaty Bands Review and My First Giveaway

I am always looking for looking for headbands because of my hair style, I get bits and pieces that are always flying in my face when I have it in a ponytail. I'd heard of Sweaty Bands in the past, and I had even seen them at the Fit For A Princess Expo in February. In July, I was at the Peachtree Road Race Expo and I happened upon the Sweaty Bands stand. I knew I just had to try them, and little Miss B wanted to try them as well, so I bought her one of the thin bands with polka dots, and I bought myself a hot pink thick band.

Bella wore her as soon as we bought it, and has also worn it to dance camp where it stayed in place looked pretty darn adorable.

I decided to test mine out at my first Zumba class after I bought it, and I was completely shocked at how well it stayed in and kept the little hairs out of my face. I guess that I had to see for myself it would actually stay in place through an entire class without me having to stick bobby pins in or readjust the headband. Imagine my surprise when I didn't have to worry about the headband at all, it stayed in place, looked super cute, and fit like a dream even on my gigantic head.

I didn't just wear it to Zumba class, I wore it to pilates, to training and on all of my treadmill runs. Actually, I love it so much I wear it almost daily. I say almost, because I do have to wash it to get my stink off of it every once in a while. I am officially hooked on these head bands and will have to order some more asap.

Wright Socks Review

The people at Wright Sock gave me the opportunity review some of their socks. They sent me three pairs of socks to review. I've been wearing these socks for all but one of my training runs during this training cycle. 

Wright socks have a double layer anti-blister system, and they wick away moisture. I was intrigued by the double layer system because it's unlike anything that I have seen before, according to their site it helps reduce friction and eliminating skin shear.

CoolMesh II

CoolMesh II

The first pair I tested were their CoolMesh™II, and I was pleasantly surprised by these socks because I was used to running in a more cushioned sock. When I put them on they felt light, fit extremely well, but at first I wasn't sure how I would feel about these socks on a run. Imagine my surprise when I started running, and I enjoyed having these socks on. My feet stayed dry, the socks were comfortable and I didn't miss my old socks during the first run with these socks. These socks have become my go to socks for the summer, especially living in Georgia and running in the nasty heat here. I have also worn these socks for my Zumba classes and they were equally comfortable, and kept my feet comfortable. They are definitely my favorite of all the pairs I've tested. The overall fit and feel of these socks is impeccable, I will definitely be ordering a few pairs of these socks. I thought I loved super cushy socks until I tried these.

Cushion DLX

The Cushion DLX socks were the second pair of the wrightsocks that I tested. I wore these during some of my long runs of the marathon training cycle, as well as treadmill runs and during some of my Zumba classes. First of all, let me just say that these socks deliver on the cushion factor, they were comfortable and have felt great during all my activity. That being said, I preferred these socks for Zumba and just going to the gym, but that's just me.

Running II 

The third pair is the Running II sock. These socks were thinner than than the cushioned sock, but slightly bulkier than the cool mesh. They too kept my feet cool and the fit and feel of these socks were wonderful. These too have become some of my favorite socks, no blisters, no discomfort, I couldn't ask for anything more.

SPIbelt Review

I ordered one of these belts on Monday and I added the expedited shipping. Plus, I had to order the larger belt size. Let me start by raving about my dealing with the company themselves. Someone from the company contacted me on Tuesday and offered me the free shipping instead of the expedited shipping because the larger belts take a day or two to make. That in itself was pretty impressive, and spoke volumes about the company and the way they run it. Then, I informed the gentleman that I needed it by Friday so I could use it for the race on Saturday. He replied by telling me that I could be assured that I would have it by Friday. Low and behold, FedEx showed up at my door on Friday with my package from SPIbelt.

Now, to the belt itself. I cannot say enough good things about it. It really does not bounce when you run, and I was honestly shocked when I didn't feel it budge when I ran. Although the belt looks small, it expands and fit my large phone, my friend's keys, and a few other odds and ends. I will make a video this week so you can see for yourself how much can fit in this thing. During the race, I actually forgot that I had it on. The material isn't waterproof, so I put my phone in a ziploc bag so it wouldn't get wet if I was overly sweaty. The SPIbelt gets two thumbs up! Great product that delivers on it's promise at a great price.
