Sometimes It's Good To Be Second But.....
Being in first is even better!!!! I just got an email from my ILIATC trainer, and she informed me that I'm in first place right now. Now, I just have to bust my butt to stay in first. I have to win this thing! Last go around I came so close and missed the mark by a less than 1%. I've been doing my happy dance all morning. WOOT WOOT!!!!

Sometimes Videos Are Stupid
I just saw a video on Facebook of the half time performance. Let me just say that it sort of crushed the whole mental image that I had of the thing, because of course in my head I was so much better. The kicker is that because of my size, I sort of stuck out and didn't blend in like a lot of the other participants did. Oh well, going to have to shake it off and move on. Ultimately, I went and I did the darn thing. I felt fine about the whole thing until I saw the video, so I need to try and go back to the place before I saw the video.
This weekend consisted of a whole lot of Zumba. I went to class on Saturday morning, and then did the Zumba thing yesterday as well. Other then that there was no other gym related stuff over the weekend.
Then this morning, my trainer and I had to reschedule because she and her little one were not feeling well. This actually turned out to my advantage because my friend and I were able to go on a long walk this morning. The heat was awful, but according to the runstar app we were able to do 5.6 miles with a pace of 19:26 minutes per mile. I think that the next walk we will break the 6 mile mark. Go us! This evening I am going back to the gym for round 2 and hit up Zumba class.
While I'm at it, let's revisit some of my short term goals that I mentioned in this post.

- I bought the Zumba pants but they still don't fit. That's ok though because we are getting there, and I think that maybe by the end of next month I will be able to wear them.
- Zumba training is on Thursday, and I think that I am in better shape then I was when I set the goal in June.
- The wedding is coming up in a while, and I have lost some more weight. I have seen some outfits that I like for the occasion. The next step is trekking up to the store to start trying things on.
- We are getting really close to the September goal which is being down a total of 150 pounds. We are 16 pounds away.... this is totally attainable.

Feelin' Groovy
After Groove, Amy and I trained for the first time this week. She took her frustrations out on me today, there was no Miss Nice Trainer today. She was especially tough on me after I told her how the men's Zumba pants I ordered don't fit quite yet. My butt, hips and thighs are the problem, so we really hit that hard today. Don't get me wrong though, I am not complaining. I go to the gym and workout with Amy to get a good workout and get some results. I've got goals to reach darn it!
Tonight, I have to get in Day 12 of C25K today. I may make the trip to Fayetteville for Zumba tonight as well, we shall see.
For those of you who are interested, there are 34 days until Zumba training and 245 days until the big half marathon.

Dancing It Out
Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. ~Dave Barry
Today was another wonderful day! I went to Groove this morning, and it was so cool to watch my friend co-teach her first Groove class since she went to her instructor training. I was so proud of her and it was so exciting to see her shaking it up there. Then this evening, I went to shake it in Zumba. It is always so much fun, and the positive energy at the Fayetteville location is just so contagious. I danced it out today!
Then, I got the best surprise from a dear friend of mine. She absolutely made my day with her sweet and thoughtful gesture. I really had to hold back the tears, because I didn't want to look like a blubbering mess. I am so blessed to have such incredible friends.

Bad Bad Blogger
It's Tuesday, and my last entry was on Saturday. That is just not going to fly, I said I would document every day so this will be the last time I let it lapse this much. I've been lazy this week in terms of my C25K, and it's time regroup and refocus because there is a tiara shaped medal that I'd like to be the proud owner of.
Here's the quick run down of my workouts since Saturday.
Sunday- Groove
Monday- Training with Amy and Zumba
Tuesday- Zumba in the morning and some more Zumba in the evening.
Tomorrow, I am going to run in the morning and possibly do Group Power and then Zumba in the afternoon. My poor trainer is injured so I won't be training with her tomorrow, I am going to have to get it done on my own. You can expect an entry about day 7 of C25K and all my other fun and games. I've got to kick it up and change it up because I have some short term goals.

SHORT TERM GOALS
- Buy some Zumba pants, sure they will have to be the men's ones but I still want them. I am just a few inches too big.
- I want to be in better shape for Zumba training, I have 50 days to get it done.
- I want to look fly for my cousin's wedding in San Francisco on August 20th.
- I have another goal that I am not ready to talk about just yet, but I'd like to have it done by September at the latest.

Where Is My Motivation
So, yesterday was a tough day at our house. I am trying not to think about it too much, but it's tough not to. I am going to try and do the run down of yesterday and today's activities because I said I would keep record of the entire journey even the boring stuff, but, I am not really in the mood to.
Yesterday morning started with my first ever Pilates class. Here were my my thoughts on Pilates.
I went back to the gym last night to try and see if I could dance it out, and I was fine during Groove and even immediately afterwards. Dancing makes me happy. Then when I got home, it hit me kind of hard and I had a melt down. I think I might be taking this harder than Patrick or Bella.
This morning was much better. I was really exhausted, but I got my butt in the gym and I went to Zumba. Again, dancing makes me happy. Afterwards, I got to get a pedi with some friends which was great for so many reasons. First of all, they really helped cheer me up today and kept my mind off of things but I am not sure that either of them knew it. Secondly, it was nice to spend some kid free time with some great girls. Lastly, I rarely treat myself to something like a pedicure so it was nice to be able to do that, what a great treat, especially when you get to share that with some fun people.
That's it for tonight. I am exhausted and my bed is calling my name. Getting in Day 7 of C25K tomorrow and I hope to be able to Groove afterwards. There are 264 days left.....
Yesterday morning started with my first ever Pilates class. Here were my my thoughts on Pilates.
- I was pretty jazzed that I didn't send the ball flying into one of my neighbors.
- It was hard to contain the giggles, especially when I thought that my friend was going to come crashing into me and it would be like a modern day "I Love Lucy" episode.
- I moved things that I am not sure I've moved in a long time, if ever.
- I knew I would be sore, but I was surprised at what was sore this morning.
- The class was kind of boring but I will definitely go again because it was a good workout and a different kind of workout.

Run Like There's Cupcakes At The End
Yesterday was day 6 of C25K, and I rocked it out. I know it sounds conceited but I was so proud of myself at the end of it. I kept telling myself that the tiara medal is so worth it, and that maybe there would be cupcakes at the end. You can get me to do a lot with the promise of cupcakes. I'm feeling a bit more confident about running and avoiding the dreaded bus. I trained with Amy before the run and she made me work, I am sitting here feeling slightly sore and feeling the effects of yesterday's training. I can't complain though, because I train with her to work it out and do the damn thing.
I went back to the gym for round two for my beloved Zumba class. I went and shook it on stage for a few songs, because it just so much fun. I had a few people come up to me after the class and make comments about how I should be a Zumba instructor. It's funny that they said that because that brings me to something that I have been dying to share with everyone. Today, I am going to sign up for Zumba instructor training. This has been in the works for a while but I didn't want to say anything about it, although I made a little mention of it in this post but I didn't explain what I had planned. So, if all goes well on July 29th I will be a licensed Zumba instructor. Please send positive thoughts.

I HAVE To Get It Together
So, I really need to get my act together. I didn't make time for my C25K training like I should have today, and now tomorrow I will have to bust my butt after training with Amy to get the running in. I feel stupid about being lazy today, but I will get it done tomorrow.
So, I debuted the new fiona bra from moving comfort. It was like the mega impact bra, the girls were not moving in that thing, but it did cause some uniboob action, which killed it for me. I think this is going to be a running only bra, because it does not make the girls look as nice as the maia bra, but it keeps them reined in. Mo' boobies, mo' problems.
I did Group Active and Zumba today. The active instructor is probably slightly unbalanced, she doesn't give a break between songs, and I think it's an attempt to kill me because I feel lazy if I take my own break between tracks. Slightly off topic, that instructor came up to me before class and told me that she saw me at church on Sunday. I felt like such a jerk, because I am usually off in my own little world, and chances are that I saw her but it didn't register. I will have to make it a point to look for her on Sunday and say hi. I took Zumba afterwards and it was so much fun as always. It always puts me in such a great mindset which is one of the reasons that I love it so much.

Another Wonderful Day
Just be forewarned that this is going to be a slightly boring entry, but I said that I would blog about the entire training process so here it goes. I met up with Amy today and had a training session with her along with day 5 of C25K. I really appreciate that she came into work on a Sunday, because I know that has to suck. The running was kicked up a notch today, although I don't have the speed at least I was running. After the fun and games with Amy, we both went to Groove. Once again, we all got unleashed the inner Disco Diva because we had that super fun disco mash up, I LOVE IT!
Also, let it be noted that I dropped 2 pounds since last Sunday.... WOOT WOOT. I am getting closer to my next weight loss goal. I won't post what I am planning on doing just yet, but it's going to be good. Have to keep working on kicking butt! I have 270 days left....

Low Key For The Most Part
Yesterday was pretty low key in terms of gym and training related stuff. I was only able to make to Groove class in the evening. The little one had her end of year party at school, so I didn't make it to my regular Friday morning class. The class was just so much fun, one of the songs was a disco mash up, and you know as well as I do that letting out the inner disco diva is a BLAST.
As for today, I hit Zumba in the morning. I wanted to get on the treadmill afterwards to go ahead and finish up the C25K for today, but it just was not going to happen. I will get it done tonight because I was wiped and I just wanted to get home and get some work done. When I got home, the little one slammed her thumb in the car door and we ended up at the after hours clinic to have her thumb looked at because it was so swollen and I was worried about broken blood vessels or something. That might have been over protective of me, but better safe than sorry. The joys of motherhood...

Taking It All In Stride
My trainer and I had to reschedule yesterday's session, which is fine. Gotta go with the flow, right? I ended up using the time to run some errands and finish some work, but I did put off my C25K. I went to Zumba in the afternoon and I shook it like it was for sale and the rent is due. Then yesterday evening I got together with some friends and we celebrated the end of the school year with some Hello Kitty wine. Nothing says good times quite like two half bottles of sparkling Hello Kitty wine. In case Amy is reading this, the person who said they drank was not me, and I certainly did NOT eat two mini cupcakes, it was someone else who looks a lot like me but isn't as awesome as I am.
As for today, things went more or less according to plan. I had a physical this morning, and I am pretty certain that the doctor thinks that I am a nut job because I told her about the half marathon and she said she was fine with it but she laughed. I will try and ignore the fact that she laughed and focus on the ok she gave me. That means that I have officially consulted my physician and all systems are go for February. WOOHOO!!! I hit Groove class this morning, which I just LOVE. Then I finally got in day 4 of C25K, and it wasn't too bad. I am typing this, so we know that I am not dead... SCORE! One more class this evening and then I will be done like dinner.

I Was So Excited And I Just Couldn't Hide It
I could hardly contain my excitement yesterday when the wonderful FedEx guy dropped off a package with some very special contents. It was one of the new bras that I ordered! I was on the phone with Jen, she was such a trooper because I had her on the phone when I was trying it on and gushing about it. Jen, not for anything but it takes a special kind of friend to listen to all that... thanks. Anyways, the true test for the new "over the shoulder boulder holder" was wearing it through both Active and Zumba class last night. Let me tell you it did not disappoint! It was exciting to not have to wear two bras or having the girls knock me out. WOOHOO!!!
After I got over the excitement of the new bra, it was time to focus on the classes. Group Active was fun, it flew by and I managed to stay on my step, so it was a win all around. Zumba as always was a blast. I did manage to send my glasses flying across the floor which was not even the least bit embarrassing. *Note to self* it might be time to call the eye doctor and consider contacts. I don't think that my glasses or my pride could take an incident like that again.
This morning is shaping up to be a bang up one. After I take the guinea pig to Bella's school for show and tell, and drop off some cupcakes for her un-birthday celebration, I have to train with Amy and get in my C25K training as well. I'll leave you with this fun video from the Divine Miss M. LOVE HER!

It's A Beautiful Day
First things first, I have taken care of one of the issues since my last post. I did some research and found out that some other well endowed runners like the bras from Moving Comfort. So, I used the bra finder tool and found two styles that should work well for me. This is the Maia bra they recommended and here is the Fiona bra the also recommended, I ordered one of each to try out. I also saw some people talking about the Enell bras, but I decided to try the others first. I am excited about the prospect of not having to wear two bras.
Today consisted of going to Groove class in the afternoon and then hitting the bikes for a little while afterwards. I had the intentions of running and didn't, I will be making up for it tomorrow. Even though I did not get in day 3 of C25K, I am not worried about it, I will just hit it hard tomorrow. Groove class was just so much fun, and put me in such a good head space that I can't be bothered to worry about anything else tonight. I really love all the dance related classes. I've said it before and I will say it again, I love any excuse to shake it. *insert booty dance here*

Shake It Like A Salt Shaker
I had one of my favorite classes yesterday evening... Zumba. I like any excuse to shake it, but shaking it for fun and exercise is even better. I really can't help but smile and forget about the day's troubles when I'm at Zumba or Groove class. There is just something about dancing that makes me happy, it doesn't matter if I look like a doofus or if I can't follow the steps. It's just fun! It is so cool that I have some different options for a fun workout that doesn't feel like a chore. I'm headed to the gym again this morning to shake it like a salt shaker for another zumba class this morning.
As for the training, it's a dreary day today so I am going to have to take Day 2 of C25K to the treadmill this morning. I would prefer to run outside but I'm going to suck it up and put on my big girl panties.
