1. Weighed in and I gained weight and I am PISSED OFF. That being said this is my fault, and I am going to get this under control. I can even pin point why it happened. My eating has SUCKED, and I haven't been journalling as I need to be. I am going to weigh in again next Saturday May 7th and there will be a loss.
2. I got some miles in on the very muggy Monday, and again today on the treadmill. I like feeling like I am back on track. I will run again this weekend when Bella runs in her first 5K, she is so excited and I couldn't be prouder.
3. Check out this video.. it's HILARIOUS!

Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend Race Report - My First Half
The race report... FINALLY! *Warnings- Picture heavy post and a bit of TMI*
All the Garmin stats are HERE
So, I had set my alarm for 2 am, and I woke up before that. Only I would take my phone and take a picture of the alarm clock when I got up.
So, before I forget, I wrote on my arm to remind me of a few things during the race. First of all, was a reminder to STICK TO THE PLAN. Sadly, I didn't stick to the plan, I let me brain get the better of me towards the end, but I will definitely do a million times better next time. I am going to win this mental battle I seem to have every race. The other stuff I wrote on my arm was inspired by Kelly, ok, I totally stole her idea and dedicated each mile to someone. My first mile was dedicated to God, and each mile after that was dedicated to people who have been influential in my weight loss and running journey. Just so you know, I ran a mile for all of you, you guys were mile 8. Sadly, there weren't enough miles for every person that I wanted to run for, but there will be more races.
We made the seemly endless trek to the start, but not without two more stops at the porta potties. I was so scared to lose time stopping to pee during the race, little did I know that I would have to stop during the race regardless. Once we finally made it to Corral F (F for F***ing FAR), we tried to shimmy our way to the front, or at least as far to the front as we could manage. We watched the faster waves go, and each time the Fairy Godmother sent them off, I got chills. Finally, they got to us, she said her little spiel but it seemed a little lack lustre compared to the others, she might have been out of magic by then, or maybe I was being overly critical, both of which are completely possible. We were off like a herd of turtles....
Before we knew it, we were heading into the Magic Kingdom. Where was the time going? It was all I could do to keep it together as we were making our way through Main Street. I know it seems silly that I cry or get all misty eyed at so many races, but I think it just hits me that I have come so far in the past year. In February, of 2010, I had started the weight loss thing but running wasn't even on my radar, I was just a different person. Back to the race, we made our way through Tomorrowland and made our way into Fantasyland, and there it was, the castle. We stopped for a picture in front of the castle, but when we looked for it through ASI's site, it was no where to be found. It was the only picture stopped to take.... go figure. In MK, K and I were chatting and somehow decided that February 27th is New Lucy's birthday. Old Lucy, who was weighing me down is dead and gone, and we buried her just outside of the Magic Kingdom. All of that is silly, I know, but there was something about finally mentally letting go of the 200+ pounds that have still been weighing me down that was very empowering.
So, let's get down to some knitty gritty of the race. I was doing well sticking to the hydration plan, I was alternating powerade and water. Plus I was also making it a point to pour some water on my head at water stops so I wouldn't get too hot. Unfortunately, the fuel plan sort of back fired on me, and I had no issues with it during training. I ingested entirely too much caffeine with the GU and blocks, FATAL error. I had some awful GI issues during the race but I refused to stop, because I didn't want to lose any time. Had I stopped, I probably wouldn't have slowed down as much as I had towards the end. Stupid move on my part....lesson learned. I didn't even finish the fuel I had left in my spibelts because I just didn't know if my stomach could take it. Also, learned a valuable lesson about chafing. I won't go into detail but I just didn't know that there were certain things that needed to be hit with glide. Yowzers!
K and I were briefly separated when she raced ahead to use the restroom. I put my headphones in and jammed out. I had my hands up, I was randomly hooting and hollering, and probably annoying the crap out of the people around me but I was having fun. When K and I reunited, we even ran into a lady I know from the gym. As we went along, I slowly started to wilt, mentally speaking, I was turning to mush. You can look at the garmin stats and watch me fall apart. When the pace really slowed, is when the plan went out the window. Around mile 10, K ran ahead, we had agreed that if one of us needed to speed ahead, we would let the other go, so I let her go. Although, it made me a bit sad because I was already teetering on the edge of losing it mentally, I knew that I had to prove to myself that I could finish this out on my own without K. I dug deep and tried to keep going, so I kept telling myself something that Amy had said to me the night before... "finish the drill". I knew that I had one thing to do and it was finish the drill, and part of shedding old Lucy meant finishing the drill. I was beating myself up about how slow I was, and not even thinking that I was doing the damn thing. Then it happened, we were coming into Epcot, we were in the area right before we went into the park when I started wheezing. I couldn't get a handle on it, so I got my inhaler out and took two hits. I started feeling some relief, but I wasn't 100%, I struggled with it until the end. Why did this come on? It hit me that I was going to finish this thing, and I had a bit of a panic issue. At that point there wasn't any other option than to finish. I also cried during all of this because I just couldn't believe that I was going to finish it. Darn it, I'm crying writing this out. Anyways, a lady beside me started chatting with me when I was tearing up, and I told her my story and she told me all about her husband who has started his own weight loss journey. Thank heavens for her! Then, right at mile 12, there was a girl who was looking like she was going to fall apart, so I chatted with her for a bit, and maybe help her like the other lady had done for me. Then, we turned to leave Epcot and what do I hear... the gospel choir. I completely lost it, it just touched me so much. The lady who helped me earlier and I stopped to take pics at mile 13, and then she said "you know we have to run the rest of the way in". That's just what we did. I ran past Mickey and Minnie, and I wish I hadn't, I just finished. I stopped to take a picture for some people and then K found me. Somehow she managed to stick around the finish line and wait for me. As soon as I saw her, I broke down into the ugly cry yet again. We hugged, and I told her that I still didn't have a handle on my breathing. She said that I needed to get to the medical tent, I told her no. Why you ask?! I needed to get my medal first, I didn't go through that and not get my bling. So, I leaned on a guard rail thing while I waited for my medal. As soon as I got it, I had her walk with me over to the medical tent.
The medical team they had on had was awesome. They got me checked in and taken care of incredibly quickly. I had a team of doctors checking me out within minutes of getting there. They did hear some wheezing but we managed to get a handle on the breathing and I stayed in the tent until everything was back to normal. Can I tell you what the sad part about being part of the penguin crew? When we cross the finish line, the party is pretty much over. Everyone has scattered, even picking up my bag after they discharged me was sad because I had to go to a completely different tent where they had the last bags waiting on pick up.
All the Garmin stats are HERE
So, I had set my alarm for 2 am, and I woke up before that. Only I would take my phone and take a picture of the alarm clock when I got up.
I got myself dressed, and made my breakfast, but sadly my breakfast exploded. See, the evidence of said explosion. We ate, and headed out to meet the driver from the car service that took us to Epcot for the race.
We got to Epcot and were pretty sure that we were the first people there. We actually weren't that wrong, we were some of the first people there, but I felt a lot better knowing that we were there, even if it was ridiculously early.

In case you didn't know, Saturday was the Day of Dance and we had to celebrate, even if it was a day late. There was a DJ, music and lights, so we had to dance. We requested a few songs, and I started teaching a little impromptu Zumba class. Ok, so it was more like me dancing but eventually I got a couple of princesses to join in. Someone was recording it, and I would love to see it. After a few songs, I decided that it was time for a potty break, so in the ever growing lines we went. You'll never guess who I happened to run into while I was waiting.... none other than RR and Lesley! It was a meeting none of us will ever forget.
So, before I forget, I wrote on my arm to remind me of a few things during the race. First of all, was a reminder to STICK TO THE PLAN. Sadly, I didn't stick to the plan, I let me brain get the better of me towards the end, but I will definitely do a million times better next time. We started strong, but sadly spent a LOT of time at the beginning just trying to get through the crowds. People were walking more than 2 deep, and taking up a ton of space. I ended up running on the grass a few times just to be able to pass. K and I called when we were passing on the left or right, but some people just wouldn't budge and some looked at us like we were insane. In case you were on the course in our general area, we were the loud broads talking about a few inappropriate things, and randomly yelling things like "woohoo", "go us", and "we're all so bad ass". Karen and I were in a great mood but a lot of the people around us were grumpy/serious princesses. I get that they were there to get it done, but I just thought that we would have fun getting done. We did find a few people along the way who were super awesome and tons of fun. I guess I thought that the super happy vibe that I expected and heard about would trickle all the way down to the back of the pack. We even ran into Sarah, and a friend of Shannon's, but we didn't end up running with them. So, we did end up stopping to use the bathroom right by the Richard Petty thing, we lost almost 10 minutes there. Can you believe that?! When we were done, K and I "sprinted" to try and make up some time and we managed to catch up to some of the people we had left when we broke off to pee. Anyways, not too far from the Contemporary, there were some pretty gymnast boys doing their thing, and we sped up and tried to look all cool when we passed them but not before yelling out something about how hot they were. We made one of them blush.

| Can't believe I forgot to take the ice pack off my back! Who does that? |
We headed over to the taxi pick up place to meet the car that was picking us up. We stunk like we had just finished 13.1 miles, I felt so bad for the driver because we smelled so bad. Then when we pulled up to the Mona Lisa, I yelled something out of the car window which was so stupid on my part. Ugh, I stuck my foot in my mouth yet again. We got ourselves showered up, put on our "I Did It" tees that we bought at the expo, packed up and headed to Golden Corral. Sadly, Foodmaggedon which we had planned was a total flop, but the intent for it was there. We got an A for effort.

Can't believe I'm posting this but I had to take a picture of the scale this morning. I DID IT! I reached and slightly surpassed my goal for the year....200 pounds are gone never to be seen again. BOOYAH! Now, off to teach my Friday morning Zumba class and a short run with K afterwards. I have been working on my year in review post, I'll post it when I get back.

Quick Brag
Just wanted to post a quick little brag before I headed out to teach my Christmas Eve Zumba class. I got on the scale this morning and I saw that I am 2 pounds away from hitting 200 lost. HECK YEAH! I'm so excited I could burst. Can I get the last two pounds off before NYE? I say we give it a shot!

Saturday Night's Alright For Bloggin'
Friday morning, K and I went for our long run and were able to get in another seven miles. We took it easy and didn't try to better our time at all because to be honest, I haven't had the energy for it in the last little while. I was on such a high from the completion of the seven miles that I thought I should go to cycle class. It sounded like a great idea at the time but I was incredibly wiped out when it was done. All this exhaustion would keep most people at home instead of going to Groove on Friday night, but not me. I shimmied it out with my Groovy friends, but I'll be honest, I was tired. This ILIATC final push is awesome because I am seeing results but I am exhausted all the time, the good news is that the end of this insanity is near. I am ready to return to regular life from my extended stay in Crazy Town. I was telling K that I am entirely too competitive with things like this and it brings out a CRAZY side of me. Lucky for you, you've all had a glimpse at my brand of crazy.
I had my second last ILIATC weigh in today and I lost another 7 pounds!!!! I couldn't be happier but I have to just keep working super hard for one more week to finish strong. So close to being done! K, A and I have BIG plans for next Saturday after the last weigh in and workout. First of all, we are going to go eat pancakes... oh delicious carbs, we're heading to a local hang out to have a drink afterwards and we're finishing strong by making a stop at a local cupcake shop. It's a sad state of affairs when pancakes on Saturday are what's keeping me going right now.... all I want is my one cheat day. After this "Lost It" thing is done I can get back to a real way of eating and still getting result just not drastic results.
It's Saturday night, and I thought that maybe I should tell you 5 things about me.

It's Saturday night, and I thought that maybe I should tell you 5 things about me.
- I LOVE musicals. I've been singing show tunes all night.
- My childhood heroes were not your run of the mill heroes. They were and still are Cher, Bette Midler, Julie Andrews and Barbara Streisand. I wanted to be Julie Andrews.
- I've always wanted to take dance lessons, the only kind of dance lessons I've ever taken were short lived swing dance lessons with an ex boyfriend.
- I've been called an old soul more than once.
- I love to bake and I miss it dearly but it would be my downfall right now.
Here are a few show tunes I've been belting out tonight...
I won't even put in all the Sound of Music ones I've been singing.
And because it's Halloween and I love Rocky Horror Picture Show...

Where Art Thou Sleep?
I can't sleep tonight, I am just wired. UGH!!!! Thinking about sleep made me think of the old Goofy clip I posted.
Anyways, I had my ILIATC weigh in on Saturday and I rocked it out! I was down 9.1 pounds, I was ecstatic, that brings the total since January to 160.8 pounds lost. HELL YEAH!!! I got through the workout without complaining because I was so darn happy about my results, just have to keep working hard so I can win this thing. Mama needs a free year at the gym (the prize for the highest percentage lost for ILIATC). Can't wait to see what the team standings are for the week as well as the individual ones. I'll let you know if I hit the top three this week. *fingers crossed* It was such a great Saturday, UGA won, I lost a ton, my friend Sarah came over to let me play hair. Plus, Patrick and I took the rugrat to Dave and Buster's. She cracked us up, the look on her face when we walked in was priceless. I think I might have had a similar look the first time I went to Vegas. Needless to say, we all had a wonderful time there. We even had a chance to hit up the PGA Superstore next door, Patrick is thinking about taking up golf and Bella wants to learn as well. She went berserk for the pink clubs, bags and shoes for kids, she even enjoyed getting to play on the little putting thing they had set up. My poor baby isn't going to be the next Paula Creamer, but she really did try her hardest. Then we let her try and hit a few balls in the tennis section, I might have to buy her a cheap little racquet before we write that sport off too.
Today was pretty relaxed, I had a super fun shoot this morning with the funniest little boys. I just love what I do, and I hope that the fall brings more work my way. The rest of the day was pretty chill and spent at home trying to catch up on house work. My dear friend A managed to coax me into going to Groove this evening because I had planned on staying home and relaxing. I'm glad I went but I just wasn't into it, oh well, it happens. Not everyday is going to be a gun ho workout day.

Walk It Out
K and I walked it out yesterday, we walked it out for 4.4 miles. It was great, we had a good walk and a good chat, who needs a therapist?! Before the walk, I trained with Amy and it was a great workout, but I think that the Slam I drank before the workout didn't hurt either because I had a ton of energy. Actually, I was slightly spazzy but that's not out of character for me. Then in the evening I went to Groove, and took my beloved Spark before that class. Thank goodness for that because I am having some major diet coke withdrawals since I started ILIATC. Plus, it helped me get through the class because I wasn't really feeling like being at the gym last night.
This morning, I had my ILIATC weigh in and workout. The workout was awesome and tough and I loved it. Who would have thought I'd ever say that, but I did, I loved the whole thing. As for the weigh in, I didn't lose as much as I would have liked but that is my own doing, I did not work out enough this week to get the results I wanted. That being said, I still did lose weight and I am now down 145 pounds since I started going to the gym and changing my lifestyle back in January. WOOHOO!!! Now that I am 5 pounds away from the 150 tattoo goal, I have decided that getting a tattoo right now might not be the best idea I've ever had. I am going to be honest and tell you that I am chickening out just a little. That's right, I said it... I'm a chicken. When I set the goal for myself, it seemed so far away and now it's basically here and I am scared. It's a big decision and the other issue is my body is still changing and the tattoo might change with it. I might have to live with a dilapidated janky looking tattoo if I don't think it over. I think it's something I am going to have to revisit in a few months once I've made more progress. I am going to revisit and revise my short and long term goals this weekend. I will share them with all of you as soon.

Weight Loss Update
I forgot to give you all an update about my weight loss after weighing in on Saturday. I am now down 139 pounds since January, and 11 pounds away from my next goal. Now, that I am so close to the goal, it's getting a little real and I have some research and decisions to make. I am planning on getting a small tattoo to celebrate when I get to 150 lost, and then when I get to my final goal weight I will add a little to the tattoo. I know, it's a drastic but I have worked so hard and I think it'll be a good way to remind myself not to go back to where I started ever again.
Today, I had a training session and we really focused on the upper body. She did that on purpose because I plan on running with my friend in the morning and we are working on getting on the Galloway training schedule like I mentioned before. This afternoon I went and danced it out for the first time this week, I think I was starting to go through Zumba withdrawal.

Finally Ran
This morning's run was 2.01 miles at a pace of 19:54 per mile. So, on one hand that is really slow, on the other hand, I ran and did the darn thing. I finally ran, but it wasn't a long run. Amy and I chatted and because of a change in our training schedule this week, she suggested I wait until Wednesday to get in the LONG run.
Before, the run I trained with Amy after having missed a session last week. She worked me harder than I thought she would, but I am not complaining because I am getting results. We also started talking about my workout plan for my upcoming trip to Disney, and it's totally do-able.... I GOT THIS. Also, I lost three pounds and I am 19 pounds away from my next goal. I am hoping that by September, I will have reached it. She even brought me a little gift from her convention which was beyond sweet. I was back at it this evening to shake it for Monday night's Zumba session and to top it off, I was actually paying attention. SCORE!
Here let me leave you with some Cake! ENJOY!

Not Too Shabby
I weighed in today and I have finally lost some more weight. I am down 4 more pounds and now 22 pounds away from the next goal. I am so glad to finally see a change on the scale, I needed to see that today.
I never got back on here Friday to give you a run down of the day's workouts. I went to Zumba in the morning and then got my run in afterwards. It wasn't as long as I wanted, it was only 30 minutes. Also, it was not as much running and more walking then I wanted to do, but days like that are bound to happen... at least that what my book says, so we'll go with that. In the afternoon, it was back to the gym to go to Group Power for the first time in a LONG time. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Power and it was extra enjoyable because the instructor played old music that I loved and remembered from my last foray into Power. Then it was time once again to shake it in Groove class, it was a great way to finish out the day.
On Saturday, I woke up feeling the effects of Friday's Power class, but it was a good kind of sore. I hit up Zumba in Fayetteville, and had so much fun with the new music we did. After that, it was time to relax and get a pedicure with a friend and the little one. Bella thought she was pretty hot stuff getting her finger nails and toes painted. I enjoyed just being able to do something that I do not get to do too often, and enjoy it with a great friend. We headed to lunch after that, and I had to have a mango daiquiri. It was only one drink, so it not so bad. That being said, I need to go back to using my list of better drink choices when I feel the need to indulge because I could have made a better choice.
I am taking today off, I have some errands to run, work to finish. Plus, I have to take Bella to a friend's birthday party and I am excited to get to see some friends that I do not get to see often enough.

Three Days Without The Gym
I know that is going to sound odd, but it's such a part of my daily routine that not going just felt weird. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the heck out of the break, but I am ready to get back to my daily routine. I have to train with Amy this morning, we are changing things up today so it should make for an interesting session. I weighed in yesterday, and didn't lose anything this past week, so it's time to change it up.

Feelin' Groovy
After Groove, Amy and I trained for the first time this week. She took her frustrations out on me today, there was no Miss Nice Trainer today. She was especially tough on me after I told her how the men's Zumba pants I ordered don't fit quite yet. My butt, hips and thighs are the problem, so we really hit that hard today. Don't get me wrong though, I am not complaining. I go to the gym and workout with Amy to get a good workout and get some results. I've got goals to reach darn it!
Tonight, I have to get in Day 12 of C25K today. I may make the trip to Fayetteville for Zumba tonight as well, we shall see.
For those of you who are interested, there are 34 days until Zumba training and 245 days until the big half marathon.

Oh Boy...
I was in an awful mood today which just seemed to trickle down into everything today. I had a hard time just shaking off the grumpiness. Then to add to the grumpiness I got on the scale today and I gained a pound, and I know that doesn't sound like much but it was enough to make the bad mood worse. It happens, tomorrow is a new day, and it will be better and not full of my crabbiness. On a good note, I finished day 8 of C25K training today! It felt good to be able to run a little longer today, I am still not going to be breaking any records but I am running more. Like I've said before, I am not a runner but we are working on it and I will be. It's all about baby steps. Before I ran, I went to Groove class, and I really let my crappy mood screw with me in that class today. I was just in an awful head space today. I'm shaking it off!

It's Tuesday, and my last entry was on Saturday. That is just not going to fly, I said I would document every day so this will be the last time I let it lapse this much. I've been lazy this week in terms of my C25K, and it's time regroup and refocus because there is a tiara shaped medal that I'd like to be the proud owner of.
Here's the quick run down of my workouts since Saturday.
Sunday- Groove
Monday- Training with Amy and Zumba
Tuesday- Zumba in the morning and some more Zumba in the evening.
Tomorrow, I am going to run in the morning and possibly do Group Power and then Zumba in the afternoon. My poor trainer is injured so I won't be training with her tomorrow, I am going to have to get it done on my own. You can expect an entry about day 7 of C25K and all my other fun and games. I've got to kick it up and change it up because I have some short term goals.

SHORT TERM GOALS
- Buy some Zumba pants, sure they will have to be the men's ones but I still want them. I am just a few inches too big.
- I want to be in better shape for Zumba training, I have 50 days to get it done.
- I want to look fly for my cousin's wedding in San Francisco on August 20th.
- I have another goal that I am not ready to talk about just yet, but I'd like to have it done by September at the latest.

Run Like There's Cupcakes At The End
Yesterday was day 6 of C25K, and I rocked it out. I know it sounds conceited but I was so proud of myself at the end of it. I kept telling myself that the tiara medal is so worth it, and that maybe there would be cupcakes at the end. You can get me to do a lot with the promise of cupcakes. I'm feeling a bit more confident about running and avoiding the dreaded bus. I trained with Amy before the run and she made me work, I am sitting here feeling slightly sore and feeling the effects of yesterday's training. I can't complain though, because I train with her to work it out and do the damn thing.
I went back to the gym for round two for my beloved Zumba class. I went and shook it on stage for a few songs, because it just so much fun. I had a few people come up to me after the class and make comments about how I should be a Zumba instructor. It's funny that they said that because that brings me to something that I have been dying to share with everyone. Today, I am going to sign up for Zumba instructor training. This has been in the works for a while but I didn't want to say anything about it, although I made a little mention of it in this post but I didn't explain what I had planned. So, if all goes well on July 29th I will be a licensed Zumba instructor. Please send positive thoughts.

Another Wonderful Day
Just be forewarned that this is going to be a slightly boring entry, but I said that I would blog about the entire training process so here it goes. I met up with Amy today and had a training session with her along with day 5 of C25K. I really appreciate that she came into work on a Sunday, because I know that has to suck. The running was kicked up a notch today, although I don't have the speed at least I was running. After the fun and games with Amy, we both went to Groove. Once again, we all got unleashed the inner Disco Diva because we had that super fun disco mash up, I LOVE IT!
Also, let it be noted that I dropped 2 pounds since last Sunday.... WOOT WOOT. I am getting closer to my next weight loss goal. I won't post what I am planning on doing just yet, but it's going to be good. Have to keep working on kicking butt! I have 270 days left....

Taking It All In Stride
My trainer and I had to reschedule yesterday's session, which is fine. Gotta go with the flow, right? I ended up using the time to run some errands and finish some work, but I did put off my C25K. I went to Zumba in the afternoon and I shook it like it was for sale and the rent is due. Then yesterday evening I got together with some friends and we celebrated the end of the school year with some Hello Kitty wine. Nothing says good times quite like two half bottles of sparkling Hello Kitty wine. In case Amy is reading this, the person who said they drank was not me, and I certainly did NOT eat two mini cupcakes, it was someone else who looks a lot like me but isn't as awesome as I am.
As for today, things went more or less according to plan. I had a physical this morning, and I am pretty certain that the doctor thinks that I am a nut job because I told her about the half marathon and she said she was fine with it but she laughed. I will try and ignore the fact that she laughed and focus on the ok she gave me. That means that I have officially consulted my physician and all systems are go for February. WOOHOO!!! I hit Groove class this morning, which I just LOVE. Then I finally got in day 4 of C25K, and it wasn't too bad. I am typing this, so we know that I am not dead... SCORE! One more class this evening and then I will be done like dinner.

I Was So Excited And I Just Couldn't Hide It
I could hardly contain my excitement yesterday when the wonderful FedEx guy dropped off a package with some very special contents. It was one of the new bras that I ordered! I was on the phone with Jen, she was such a trooper because I had her on the phone when I was trying it on and gushing about it. Jen, not for anything but it takes a special kind of friend to listen to all that... thanks. Anyways, the true test for the new "over the shoulder boulder holder" was wearing it through both Active and Zumba class last night. Let me tell you it did not disappoint! It was exciting to not have to wear two bras or having the girls knock me out. WOOHOO!!!
After I got over the excitement of the new bra, it was time to focus on the classes. Group Active was fun, it flew by and I managed to stay on my step, so it was a win all around. Zumba as always was a blast. I did manage to send my glasses flying across the floor which was not even the least bit embarrassing. *Note to self* it might be time to call the eye doctor and consider contacts. I don't think that my glasses or my pride could take an incident like that again.
This morning is shaping up to be a bang up one. After I take the guinea pig to Bella's school for show and tell, and drop off some cupcakes for her un-birthday celebration, I have to train with Amy and get in my C25K training as well. I'll leave you with this fun video from the Divine Miss M. LOVE HER!

It Makes All The Difference...
I trained with my wonderful trainer Amy today, we worked it out today. We started by doing day 3 of C25K training. First of all, what a difference it made to have someone there cheering me on, talking to me and helping me stay focused. There was no wimping out today, it just wasn't in the cards, and having Amy push me helped me get it done. I ran more than I had the last two days of training and I was surprised at myself. As of right now, I am still destined for the loser bus, but then again I just started training, so I am not too worried about it just yet. Give me a few more months and I will beat that bus and get my tiara shaped medal. During our time on the treadmill, I was telling Amy that I will wear that damn medal everywhere for about a week or so after the race, I might even wear the race shirt as well. Just remember that if you see me that first week of March 2011, and I look like a crazy person with a dirty t-shirt and wearing a medal at Target or the grocery store, it's just part of the post run celebration.
After the C25K training, we had my regular training to do. I am pretty darn sure that I will be feeling this tomorrow. We went up in weight on some things, and I can already feel it, so tomorrow should be good times. That was just my morning workout, I am going back this evening for Zumba. I can't wait!
Lastly, for those of you who were wondering there are 276 days until the fun in Florida begins. In the words of my five year old... peace out pickles!

Starting Out
Today is the first day of the "Couch to 5K" program I've started. My thinking is that starting with a C25K program is a good way to transition into running, because I am not a runner but I will be. I just got back from my first run/walk, and I am not dead so we will chalk that one up as a win.
Let me give you a little background on myself. I started my weight loss journey in January, and oddly enough it wasn't a resolution, I was just fed up with the way I was looking and feeling. I joined a gym and hired an awesome trainer. I've lost a LOT of weight and it's still coming off. More importantly, I am starting to feel so much better physically and about myself.
Here's a picture I took the week I joined the gym, it's not a full body photo but you get they idea.
