I Can Almost See The Finish Line!
Before I even tell you about the insane days I've had, I want to send a shout out to Shannon who wasn't mentioned in the vlog entry. She changes her tennis schedule to come to contortion on Tuesday mornings and she's one of my Zumba peeps. Shannon, you're awesome!!!
I forgot to mention in the vlog entry that I went shopping with my dear friend, she was shopping for a dress for a wedding. While she was trying on clothes, I found a dress that I just had to try on. I didn't know what size to pick so, I picked multiple sizes and started from the biggest size and moved down. I put on a dress in a size I haven't worn in a LONG time. I was so excited that I walked out of the dressing room and started singing and even did a little dance. It was a sight to see... If I had a super nice occasion to go to, I'd go back and buy the dress.
So, after I got my Housewives fix Wednesday morning, I headed to the gym and trained with Amy. SHE KICKED MY BUTT! I am thoroughly grateful though because it was some good therapy thrown in there for good measure, and heaven knows I needed the therapy. After that, I got in a short run on the treadmill before I went to cycle class, I really cannot stand the treadmill. Anyways, I went to cycle and would you believe that the instructor played "Cheeseburger In Paradise", that is simply cruelty to fatties. I was so hungry and the song nearly sent me over the edge. I went to Zumba that afternoon and got to see Sarah and Shannon which is always fun, I love those girls. I was so ramped up after class, I felt like a bit of a crack head. I finally managed to tire myself out after going to Groove class later that evening.
Thursday, I went to Amy's pilates class, and it was awesome. Her class is challenging but we also had a lot of laughs which helped the class simply fly by. I did not go to Groove, I needed the rest. Instead, I went to help my friend Christina find some accessories to go with the dress she bought on Tuesday's shopping adventure. Let me tell you, I learned a valuable lesson, I cannot be left alone in Charming Charlie's. I was picking accessories left and right, and I would have spent a small fortune had I not just put my basket down and walked out of the store. I had to laugh at myself a little because I get a little crazed when it comes to accessories of any kind. Then Thursday evening, I went to Group Active for the first time in a long time, and I stayed for Zumba immediately after that.
This morning K, Sarah and I went to for our long run. Thank goodness for Sarah because K and I were dragging. Sarah pulled us through today.... thank you! It was a different dynamic and a ton of fun to have more of us running together... it just worked out so well. Plus, it was nice to have a third for when we have to face off with the Stroller Mafia who will not budge and take up the entire golf cart path. After we finished our 7 miles, we all headed to lunch together. What could be better?! K and I went to Groove this evening, and I am so glad that she came because I was struggling and I don't know if I would have worked as hard had she not been there.
So, tomorrow is the big weigh in and then I have to wait until Wednesday night to find out if I won. At this point, I still want to win but I am also ready for this to be over because I'm ready to get my head out of Crazy Town. As much as I enjoy being Mayor McCheese, the mayor of Crazy Town, I am ready to have my brain back to Normalville. Wish me luck! I saw the dude who's in second as I was leaving the gym tonight, I hope he only puts in a half as*ed effort.

Saturday Night's Alright For Bloggin'
Friday morning, K and I went for our long run and were able to get in another seven miles. We took it easy and didn't try to better our time at all because to be honest, I haven't had the energy for it in the last little while. I was on such a high from the completion of the seven miles that I thought I should go to cycle class. It sounded like a great idea at the time but I was incredibly wiped out when it was done. All this exhaustion would keep most people at home instead of going to Groove on Friday night, but not me. I shimmied it out with my Groovy friends, but I'll be honest, I was tired. This ILIATC final push is awesome because I am seeing results but I am exhausted all the time, the good news is that the end of this insanity is near. I am ready to return to regular life from my extended stay in Crazy Town. I was telling K that I am entirely too competitive with things like this and it brings out a CRAZY side of me. Lucky for you, you've all had a glimpse at my brand of crazy.
I had my second last ILIATC weigh in today and I lost another 7 pounds!!!! I couldn't be happier but I have to just keep working super hard for one more week to finish strong. So close to being done! K, A and I have BIG plans for next Saturday after the last weigh in and workout. First of all, we are going to go eat pancakes... oh delicious carbs, we're heading to a local hang out to have a drink afterwards and we're finishing strong by making a stop at a local cupcake shop. It's a sad state of affairs when pancakes on Saturday are what's keeping me going right now.... all I want is my one cheat day. After this "Lost It" thing is done I can get back to a real way of eating and still getting result just not drastic results.
It's Saturday night, and I thought that maybe I should tell you 5 things about me.

- I LOVE musicals. I've been singing show tunes all night.
- My childhood heroes were not your run of the mill heroes. They were and still are Cher, Bette Midler, Julie Andrews and Barbara Streisand. I wanted to be Julie Andrews.
- I've always wanted to take dance lessons, the only kind of dance lessons I've ever taken were short lived swing dance lessons with an ex boyfriend.
- I've been called an old soul more than once.
- I love to bake and I miss it dearly but it would be my downfall right now.
Here are a few show tunes I've been belting out tonight...
I won't even put in all the Sound of Music ones I've been singing.
And because it's Halloween and I love Rocky Horror Picture Show...

Yesterday Mental Roadblock... Today Is A New Day
Yesterday was a complete mental roadblock day. I had a short run with K this morning and I was in a funk, BLECH! We finished 2.7 miles but I was a mess... it's just one of those days. I joined K at the gym for a quick strength training session, nothing to write home about but we got it done. The rest of the day was a total and complete write off, I was useless. I wanted to go to the pool and get in a water workout but I just couldn't get my head into even leaving the house yesterday evening. All day was one gigantic roadblock day. On a good note, I signed up for the Peachtree Classic 5K this Saturday, so that should be fun because I have a lot of friends running this one. Plus, Bella had a friend over and those two little girls were exhausting but they had so much fun, which made it so worth it.
Today, was so much better then yesterday. K and I ran again this morning and got in a 5.4 miles. We were both pretty jazzed because we were faster than we have been in a long time. I mean we aren't breaking any speed records but it's a big deal for us. If we can go a little faster than we did today we can finish the 5K much quicker then we did last race, and I really just don't want to be the last across the finish line. That isn't much to ask right?! Anyways, I went to workout with Amy afterwards and she was just so inspiring and all around awesome. I am really lucky to have found a trainer and a friend who I mesh with so well and who gets my crazy. We did come up with a game plan for my training as soon as "Lost It At The Club" is over, we are going to make running and running related workouts my one and only priority and focus because there is no reason I should be this slow and why I can't finish the half. Right now with the weight loss aspect to things I am not able to focus like I should be on just the running. Alright, this is where I have to bid you all a good day because there is a certain dance fitness class calling my name. Can you guess which one? I'll give you a clue, it starts with a Z and ends with a umba. Peace out peeps! ¡WEPA!

I Found It!!!!
Look at what I found this morning....
![]() |
| The picture does not do the amount of dirt on it justice.... it was filthy. |
So, K and I were trotting along when I saw something pink laying by the side of the path and I recognized it right away.... it was my pink bondi band!!! I almost didn't pick it up because it was so nasty but K coerced me into picking it up and shoving it in my spibelt. Picking up the headband is the opposite of what I would normally do, but K was convincing and I knew I would regret not picking it up. I am sure it was run over by golf carts and everyone else that uses the paths, but I am going to try not to think about it too much. I washed it as soon as I got home, and I think it'll be a few more washes before I even think about putting it back on my head. Although, I might not wear it again, and just bask in the fact that I found it.
As you guessed, K and I ran today and we thought it would be a good idea to go for 6 again today. That as it turned out was a mistake. If we were good, we would follow the training plan and only do one long run a week, with two 30-40 minute runs before that. Anyways, I was exhausted and today was a real challenge to finish. I was dragging a** through the whole course, but I pushed through it, but we were SLOW. I mean we were inching along today. I think that I am going to try and take the entire day off before the next long run, it's just tough with this whole ILIATC thing going on right now.
I have a question for you. Does having dreams about running mean that I am in the process of becoming a runner? I dreamt about the half marathon last night, and let me tell you in my dreams I was rocking it out. How lame is that? Apparently, I kicked Patrick a whole lot in my sleep so I must have really been into my dream last night.
I have really been thinking about the half in the last few days. I was even visualizing crossing the finish line during the cycle class today. Actually, I pretty much tried to visualize the race during the whole class, it really helped me rock it out in class this afternoon. Oh and good news, the class was a lot less uncomfortable this go around, so we'll see how much better next week is.
Gotta run, I have to get to Groove! My dear friend who will I will refer to as Lala is in town for the weekend and Groove was our Friday night date before she moved a few months ago. So, we're going to Groove and then get some coffee.

Update... finally...
We took a little family road trip Sunday to a place in North Georgia called Goats On The Roof and as the name implies there were actual goats on the roof of the place. I don't know why I was so surprised to see the goats up there, but it was a little unnerving. I guess I thought there would be one or two up there and the rest would be on the ground like normal goats. Anyways, Bella had a fabulous time feeding the goats, "mining" for gems, and doing a little shopping. She said it was her favorite part of the entire week, which I absolutely loved. It was a nice way to spend a mostly restful day. Of course, I couldn't take the whole day off, I had to hit up Groove Sunday evening.
This morning K and I decided to have our long run Monday because our schedules don't quite work for a long run any other time this week.... or so we thought. Anyways, I ran 5.5 and walked 0.5 back to the car, K on the other hand rocked it out and ran the 0.5 that I walked. Walking that 0.5 worked out because as it turned out, I had an e-mail from the Zumba website from a Group Fitness director from a small local gym looking for a Zumba instructor. When I got back to the car, I called and left a message. Later that day after my workout with Amy, I got a call back to set up an audition/interview. When it was all said and done, I had set up an appointment to teach half of a Zumba class Wednesday afternoon. The best way to celebrate was of course, by going to Zumba that evening.... duh.
Tuesday, I spent a good bit of the day helping out at Bella's school. I did manage to squeeze in Group Centergy that morning. That afternoon, I got back in the pool for an aqua jogging session with some interval work. It didn't love the workout but I didn't hate it either, but I did the damn thing and got it done.
Wednesday, I had a workout scheduled with Amy but we actually spent half of my workout practicing for my audition/interview later that day. Our actual workout was pretty tame because Amy wanted to make sure I was fresh for my thing. I got myself together after picking Bella up from school and we headed over to the gym where I was having the audition/interview. I got there, and the nerves started to kick in just a little but I had prepared and there was nothing else I could do but give it my all. When it was my turn, I got up there and started strong. The ladies seemed to be really responsive, and I was chugging along. Then when we hit the fourth song, I completely blanked out, and I made up the routine on the spot. The good thing is that they didn't know the difference and I kept going. One lady, even said it was her favorite song after the class. Then, I got cut off by the group fitness director during the second last song because the girl before me went over her time and I had run out of time but it worked out. I cooled the group down, and they were a wonderful group of class participants. She said that she would be in touch but but I am not going to hold my breath. It was a great experience and I'm moving forward. Anyways, in the parking lot, as I was pulling out some dude in a minivan hit my little car. Bella and I are ok, but it just plain sucked and I freaked out. When I was headed to my gym for Groove I had a mini melt down with my friend over the phone. When I pulled up to the gym, A and my other friend were standing outside chatting. When I got up to them, I had a total meltdown. I think that the stress of the day and the accident just sent me over the edge. A and my other friend were awesome and helped me get myself together. A and I danced it out in groove, it was exactly what I needed. When I got home, Patrick was awesome and won some serious "awesome husband" points.
Thursday.... it wasn't Wednesday so already we were off to a good start. I hit up pilates with a friend and she was kind enough to invite me over to her house afterwards for some coffee. She was wonderful, and spending time with her was what I really needed. I took it easy the rest of the day and headed to Fayetteville for some Zumba this evening. I am so glad I did because I got to see some friends and it was just a fun evening. I also realized that I am SO LUCKY to have so many incredible and supportive friends.

Spice Up Your Life
It's a Spice Girls kind of day in Lucy-land. Don't fight it, just go with it. You know you danced to some "Wannabe" don't even try to act like you didn't. Ok, I know it's been a few days since I've updated but in my defense, I have fallen asleep on the couch mid post 3 nights in a row.
Anyways, let me tell you about Wednesday. I started the day with K and we ran 5 miles. I ran intervals and I really think that's why I was able to go as far as I did without being completely wiped out. Actually, during the last mile I was able to push a little harder and I know it was because of the intervals earlier in the run. I was so excited and proud of us, we totally rode the high from our accomplishment. We ended with a 1.4 mile walk/cool down, which brought us to having covered 6.4 miles. After that, K joined Amy and I for a training session. Amy worked our upper bodies and core pretty hard, and thankfully she was easy on our legs. While we were doing some shoulder work, K asked Amy if anyone really lifted the 130 pound dumbbells they have at the gym. Amy challenged me to try and pick it up because it's a little less then what I've lost this past year, and so that I can try to visualize how much weight I've lost. I took her up on it and went tried pick it up... I was only able to lift it about an inch off the ground. Needless to say, the feeling of trying to pick up that dumbbell is going to stay with me. I've already gone back to it a few times since Wednesday. Then just for fun and to top off the day, I went to dance it out in Zumba that afternoon.
Thursday was a pretty low key day, I just went to pilates and Groove. That being said, pilates was a tough class and I am still feeling sore from it. I had a lot to get done on Thursday, so I didn't make it to Zumba that evening. It's crazy but it made me sad, I missed my Zumba.
*Warning- this part might be TMI for you, just skip this part and go straight to Saturday's activities.* Friday was another of my insane days not unlike Monday. I started out with taking an easy 2 mile walk on my own. I went to Zumba, and followed it up with going for my first cycle class. Ok, I knew cycle class was going to be uncomfortable, but I had no idea. My general peesh area is SORE! I even had a gel seat cover, but that didn't make a difference, I am still sore. K and I stayed for half the class, that is about all my junk could take, but next class, K and I said we were going to aim to stay 45 minutes. Then in the evening, I went to Groove class which K was subbing for, it was a total blast.
This morning started with an EARLY morning run with K. We walked our first mile, and slowly jogged 2.9 miles after that. We were slow but we got out there and got it done. After that, I had my ILIATC workout and weigh in. It was great news!! I LOST 6.6 POUNDS!!! I got through the super tough workout by focusing on the great weight loss this week. I hope that my team stays in the top three again this week, and hopefully I will be in the top three for individual weight loss. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Walk It Out
K and I walked it out yesterday, we walked it out for 4.4 miles. It was great, we had a good walk and a good chat, who needs a therapist?! Before the walk, I trained with Amy and it was a great workout, but I think that the Slam I drank before the workout didn't hurt either because I had a ton of energy. Actually, I was slightly spazzy but that's not out of character for me. Then in the evening I went to Groove, and took my beloved Spark before that class. Thank goodness for that because I am having some major diet coke withdrawals since I started ILIATC. Plus, it helped me get through the class because I wasn't really feeling like being at the gym last night.
This morning, I had my ILIATC weigh in and workout. The workout was awesome and tough and I loved it. Who would have thought I'd ever say that, but I did, I loved the whole thing. As for the weigh in, I didn't lose as much as I would have liked but that is my own doing, I did not work out enough this week to get the results I wanted. That being said, I still did lose weight and I am now down 145 pounds since I started going to the gym and changing my lifestyle back in January. WOOHOO!!! Now that I am 5 pounds away from the 150 tattoo goal, I have decided that getting a tattoo right now might not be the best idea I've ever had. I am going to be honest and tell you that I am chickening out just a little. That's right, I said it... I'm a chicken. When I set the goal for myself, it seemed so far away and now it's basically here and I am scared. It's a big decision and the other issue is my body is still changing and the tattoo might change with it. I might have to live with a dilapidated janky looking tattoo if I don't think it over. I think it's something I am going to have to revisit in a few months once I've made more progress. I am going to revisit and revise my short and long term goals this weekend. I will share them with all of you as soon.

Running with Munchkin
Yesterday morning, I took Bella with me on a run... at least I had every intention to run. We started with a warm up walk, and started running. It looked like it was going to go well, and we would be able to get at least 2 miles in, that is until she saw a squirrel. It turned into a walk rather quickly because it was hard to focus on running when there was critters, and interesting leaves and shiny things to distract her. She's 6, wasn't really all that surprising. It was ok because we had fun regardless, and I am going to try again tomorrow. She really wants to run the 5K in February at her school, so we are going to work on it so we can run it together. The runstar app said we walked 1.2 miles, I told her that next time we are going to go for the full 2 miles even if we just walk it.
Then in the evening I headed to Groove. My running buddy (who from now on will be referred to as K) and my friend A were teaching. K&A make an awesome teaching team, they just have a great rapport on stage and it puts the class in a positive place. It was great to dance it out, but man my arms and legs were sore during the class from the workout the day before.

The Follow Up
Like I mentioned in the update I posted via text earlier today I went to the doctor for my MRI follow up. Everything came back ok, well, relatively ok. The only thing the MRI showed was the arthritis that we could already see from the x-rays. She said that I really need to focus on strengthening the knee, and gave me some exercises to do to help. She also said that getting more weight off will bring me some relief as well. I know what I have to do, and I plan on doing it because I want to feel better.
So, before the appointment, my friend and I logged 4.4 miles. I was pretty darn proud of us, we ran a little further and ran a little faster than we did last time. Hooray for progress!!! Our pace was 16:00 per mile, much better than we have been doing. It was a super motivating morning. Next run, will be so much better.

One Tired Girl!
First, let's start by celebrating the 4 miles I ran/walked yesterday in 1 hour and 10 minutes. For most runners, it's not a huge feat but I ran more, walked less and did not wimp out. I did have some odd pain in the general hip/butt region but I am not overly concerned. I did work with the pain and focused on it and not on the knee, so we were golden in the pain department. I know it's not the most logical thing but it worked for me... don't judge. I'm going to start the actual Galloway half marathon training program next week. I'm going to use it, stick with it and hopefully get a lot out of it. That way we aren't just messing around anymore and we are actually working with some structure. I'm excited!
So after the running good times and such, my running partner (and resident a** kicker), another friend of ours (who I'll call A) and I went and played make up. It was great to get some straight answers from a professional make up artist (the running partner) about how to apply makeup, what to look for and what to avoid. It was a ton of fun, and the lunch and shopping at Ulta afterwards was pretty fun as well. The true test of our makeup was when A and I went to Zumba in the afternoon... we managed to keep our makeup in tact. We must have looked like a couple of nut jobs going up to each other during some of the breaks between songs and checking out each other's makeup. We did a good job because the makeup stayed on, well, at least our eye makeup which was our biggest concern.
Today has been a hell of a day. Let me preface this by letting you know that I have a lot going on in my personal life that I am choosing not to share on here, and it seemed to just hit me really hard today. It was a four hour gym day because I just had to work it out today, plus, I am going to the Braves game tomorrow night and I'm spending the morning with A. Anyways, back to the gym thing. I started the morning out with some pilates with Sarah. Let me tell you, the class sucked balls, and there really isn't a nicer way to say it. I cried a little, but not because of the class, I just was feeling all out of it. Plus, it was a TOUGH class! I headed to Groove after pilates and having a nice chat with Sarah. Groove was awesome, it just let me forget my worries for a while. I trained with Amy right after Groove, and that's when the bottom fell out. As soon as we started "therapy", I turned into a blubbering mess. If someone had walked in during the wall squats, they would have thought that she'd gone Jillian Michaels on me because I was just crying and she was chanting our little war cry thing at me. We worked it out and I was able to get over the waterworks that I had going on. It's funny because as soon as I was getting teary eyed again, I got a text from Amy telling me not to cry and with our little war cry thing. It's like she was spying on me or some junk like that.... slightly creepy but very much appreciated. Then, this evening I went to Zumba because I just can't stay away... darn it. Needless to say, I am a very tired girl tonight.
Oh and for those of you who aren't my friend on Facebook, you don't know about the my thoughts on grapes. I was sitting at the computer eating some grapes and complaining about how they are a piss poor substitute for cupcakes, which I really wanted this afternoon. The responses had me in stitches, I can always count on good friends to make me laugh and help me get through a rough day.

No More Messin' Around
It's very apparent that I need to stop messing around with this running thing. Don't worry, I am not quitting, actually going to put more time and focus into the running thing. It has become abundantly clear that I am not putting enough time, focus and dedication into my running. The pitiful time form the 5K is proof of that, there is no reason why I shouldn't have finished that faster. I know that everyone has to start somewhere but that time could have been better if I had put more work into getting prepared for it.
During my short run with my friend today, I really could have pushed a little more and maybe even gone an extra mile. After I left, my friend got in a few more miles, and I kept thinking that I really should have turned around and joined her. I should have but I had to get to the gym to meet another friend who had Bella and get to a class. After my class at the gym, I should have run another mile or two but I didn't. This is the end of the lolly gagging because I can do so much better than what I have been doing.

Goin' Back To Cali...
Tomorrow morning, Bella and I are San Francisco bound. My cousin is getting married and we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to share in her special day. Bella is going to be one of the flower girls, and she could not be more excited. She's been practicing, walking around the apartment pretending to toss flower petals and practicing her "fancy walk".... heaven help us all. I am going to try and blog while I am there but I cannot make any promises.
This morning started with a training session with Amy. I probably shouldn't have mentioned that I was going to eat whatever I felt like eating because she kicked my butt with our workout. After that, I met a friend of mine and her sweet dog to go on a walk. I had to cut the walk short because my knees just weren't loving me back this morning. The good news is that we walked 5 miles, the bad news is that my knees were not happy with me. So, before I leave in the morning I am going to be making an appointment with my orthopedist to have them looked at. Please, try not to be too jealous, not everyone can have awesome knees like this guy. I went to Zumba this afternoon and I made sure to keep it low key to save the knees, but I couldn't go without my Wednesday class.

What A Day!
Today began with an attempt to run this morning with a friend. It quickly turned into a walk because my knees were so sore and I couldn't handle it today. The only bright spot was having such great company this morning. Afterwards, I went to the gym to train with Amy. She and I had one of our world famous "therapy sessions" and a good work out in the process to boot. This afternoon, I went to Zumba and tried out my new shoes, I loved them.
After the morning's workout sessions, I headed to buy some new shoes for Zumba. I couldn't be happier with the shoes, they were great during this afternoon's class. Sarah, thank you so much for your help! I went shopping for an outfit to wear to my cousin's wedding in San Francisco next week, and it was such a great experience. I'll explain, I went in thinking that I was going to need a certain size in the clothes, and after I went into the change room and started trying the stuff on, it turns out I was wrong. I had to ask for smaller sizes, what a great feeling! I've been smiling since then!

Getting Back Into The Groove
So, we are home from our vacation and I think that I will just spare you all the details of the trip unless you just beg to hear about it. It was a great trip, and I am so glad to be home. The only thing is that I need a vacation to recoup from the vacation, I am still exhausted. Now, I am trying to get back into the swing of things and back to my normal routine.
This morning I went walking with my friend. According to Runstar, we walked 3.7 miles with a pace of 20:43 minutes per mile. The important thing is that we got out there and did our thing. Then this evening I went back into the gym for the first time in a little over a week to hit Groove class. It felt great to be back at it.

Another Slow One
I went for another run this morning and it was another slow one. The only positive is that it was 1.5 miles and the last run I did on the resort was 1.1 miles. We're headed home tomorrow and I will be back to the grind. I'm exhausted, I think I need a vacation to recoup from the vacation.

Sticky Mess
So, I am proud of myself. I am on vacation and I managed to get in a run really early this morning before we hit Epcot. It was a hot and sticky mess even before the sun was up this morning, and I think that made it a little harder to run this morning. I was so slow, it was almost embarrassing but I did run so it wasn't all bad. According to the runstar app, I ran at a pace of 21:04 and I did a total of 1.1, nothing to write home about but I did run.
I will keep you updated on the training aspect of things while I am gone, and give you a vacation run down when I get back.

Sometimes Videos Are Stupid
I just saw a video on Facebook of the half time performance. Let me just say that it sort of crushed the whole mental image that I had of the thing, because of course in my head I was so much better. The kicker is that because of my size, I sort of stuck out and didn't blend in like a lot of the other participants did. Oh well, going to have to shake it off and move on. Ultimately, I went and I did the darn thing. I felt fine about the whole thing until I saw the video, so I need to try and go back to the place before I saw the video.
This weekend consisted of a whole lot of Zumba. I went to class on Saturday morning, and then did the Zumba thing yesterday as well. Other then that there was no other gym related stuff over the weekend.
Then this morning, my trainer and I had to reschedule because she and her little one were not feeling well. This actually turned out to my advantage because my friend and I were able to go on a long walk this morning. The heat was awful, but according to the runstar app we were able to do 5.6 miles with a pace of 19:26 minutes per mile. I think that the next walk we will break the 6 mile mark. Go us! This evening I am going back to the gym for round 2 and hit up Zumba class.
While I'm at it, let's revisit some of my short term goals that I mentioned in this post.

- I bought the Zumba pants but they still don't fit. That's ok though because we are getting there, and I think that maybe by the end of next month I will be able to wear them.
- Zumba training is on Thursday, and I think that I am in better shape then I was when I set the goal in June.
- The wedding is coming up in a while, and I have lost some more weight. I have seen some outfits that I like for the occasion. The next step is trekking up to the store to start trying things on.
- We are getting really close to the September goal which is being down a total of 150 pounds. We are 16 pounds away.... this is totally attainable.

We Made It Back
WOOT WOOT! We made it back in one piece today, and we didn't even need the GPS. We only did three little running intervals, but that is better than the only pitiful one on Wednesday. Again, the conversation was so good and the heat really did make it harder to try to run. We did 4 miles today, and the runstar app said our pace was 19:32 minutes per mile. Not where I'd like it to be, but not bad at all. I am so glad that I have someone to join me.
This evening I went to Groove class which was super fun as always. The double play song was "Ice Ice Baby" and "Low". "Ice Ice Baby", really got me thinking about the true poet of our time, none other than the wordsmith Vanilla Ice. Where did he get the inspiration for his songs? Why should I stop, collaborate and listen? Why was he cooking MC's like a pound of bacon? These questions may go unanswered... how tragic. Here, you can now listen to and contemplate these deep and thoughtful lyrics.
