Nobody cares if you're not a good dancer. Just get up and dance. The same holds true for racing. Whether first or last, we all cross that same finish line. Just get out there and run.

I Can Almost See The Finish Line!

Before I even tell you about the insane days I've had, I want to send a shout out to Shannon who wasn't mentioned in the vlog entry. She changes her tennis schedule to come to contortion on Tuesday mornings and she's one of my Zumba peeps. Shannon, you're awesome!!!

I forgot to mention in the vlog entry that I went shopping with my dear friend, she was shopping for a dress for a wedding. While she was trying on clothes, I found a dress that I just had to try on. I didn't know what size to pick so, I picked multiple sizes and started from the biggest size and moved down. I put on a dress in a size I haven't worn in a LONG time. I was so excited that I walked out of the dressing room and started singing and even did a little dance. It was a sight to see... If I had a super nice occasion to go to, I'd go back and buy the dress.

So, after I got my Housewives fix Wednesday morning, I headed to the gym and trained with Amy. SHE KICKED MY BUTT! I am thoroughly grateful though because it was some good therapy thrown in there for good measure, and heaven knows I needed the therapy.  After that, I got in a short run on the treadmill before I went to cycle class, I really cannot stand the treadmill. Anyways, I went to cycle and would you believe that the instructor played "Cheeseburger In Paradise", that is simply cruelty to fatties. I was so hungry and the song nearly sent me over the edge. I went to Zumba that afternoon and got to see Sarah and Shannon which is always fun, I love those girls. I was so ramped up after class, I felt like a bit of a crack head. I finally managed to tire myself out after going to Groove class later that evening.

Thursday, I went to Amy's pilates class, and it was awesome. Her class is challenging but we also had a lot of laughs which helped the class simply fly by. I did not go to Groove, I needed the rest. Instead, I went to help my friend Christina find some accessories to go with the dress she bought on Tuesday's shopping adventure. Let me tell you, I learned a valuable lesson, I cannot be left alone in Charming Charlie's. I was picking accessories left and right, and I would have spent a small fortune had I not just put my basket down and walked out of the store. I had to laugh at myself a little because I get a little crazed when it comes to accessories of any kind. Then Thursday evening, I went to Group Active for the first time in a long time, and I stayed for Zumba immediately after that.

This morning K, Sarah and I went to for our long run. Thank goodness for Sarah because K and I were dragging. Sarah pulled us through today.... thank you! It was a different dynamic and a ton of fun to have more of us running together... it just worked out so well. Plus, it was nice to have a third for when we have to face off with the Stroller Mafia who will not budge and take up the entire golf cart path. After we finished our 7 miles, we all headed to lunch together. What could be better?! K and I went to Groove this evening, and I am so glad that she came because I was struggling and I don't know if I would have worked as hard had she not been there.

So, tomorrow is the big weigh in and then I have to wait until Wednesday night to find out if I won. At this point, I still want to win but I am also ready for this to be over because I'm ready to get my head out of Crazy Town. As much as I enjoy being Mayor McCheese, the mayor of Crazy Town, I am ready to have my brain back to Normalville. Wish me luck! I saw the dude who's in second as I was leaving the gym tonight, I hope he only puts in a half as*ed effort.

Just Another Thursday

Sitting on the couch icing my knee, and it's not because I had some bad ass workout related injury. When we got home after the gym, Bella ran to hug me as I was sitting at the dining table and she smashed right into my bad knee. OUCH! It was an accident, and I didn't get mad, but it hurt.

I didn't make it to the gym this morning, I was busy working on some PTO stuff for the Welcome Committee which I am the chair of. Maybe I shouldn't have waited so darn long to get this all done... that'll teach me. No, not really, I will probably still end up procrastinating.... I'm just being honest with you. This evening I went to Group Active, and I did the darn thing and changed things up a little. I added more risers to my step and added more weight to the strength training portion, and I kept up. I stayed for Zumba afterwards, and once again, I was off in La La Land. I don't know what was up with me.

Who's That Girl?

I've had this song stuck in my head all day, and I don't really mind. I was on the treadmill this morning and I came to the realization that I really need to invest in an ipod. My old ipod was repossessed by a certain 5 year old who has stashed it somewhere in the house, somewhere where I can't find it. Anyways, as for the run itself, it wasn't too bad today. I only ran for 35 minutes, but I ran, so, not too bad. Next run, I am going to try and make it a point to run longer and maybe even take it outside if I can get the little one pumped up to go with me. Today's pace was 20:34 minutes per mile, at least I got it done today.

Before the run, I hit up Group Power class because Amy is out of town so we couldn't train as usual. It was a pretty good class, but I found myself getting distracted and my thoughts were wandering. I was thinking about what I had to get at the store after the gym, and things that had to get done at home. Then, I started thinking that if I ever had the chance to be in a movie, I would want to play a hooker with a heart of gold... you laugh but it's true. I went and shook it in the afternoon at Zumba, it was alright but again I was off in La La Land. Today was just a bit of a mentally disorganized day.

Since I didn't write an entry yesterday I will give you a quick recap. I spent the most of the morning and early afternoon at a friend's house with the kiddo to visit some of our friends. She got to swim and play with some friends that she has known since she was about 17 months old. It was so neat to see them all play together, and to see how their friendship is so easy. It was so nice to hang out with such great friends and it was nice to get our kids together, I just love this group of women. In the evening, I went to Group Active for a change of pace. It had been a while since I had been to Active and I was really surprised with myself. I could have added more risers under my step, I could have added more weight during the strength training portion. It was a nice surprise, and next time I take the class I definitely will be kicking it up a notch.

Shaking Things Up FAIL

So, yesterday was a FAIL in the shaking things up department. I had these big plans of hitting up Group Active before Zumba last night and as you may have already guessed, that didn't happen. In the morning, I thought I would try a different class, but I still went to Groove. Oh well, I guess that we can't win them all.

Today, is going to be better in the shaking things up department. I am going to Zumba and get my run in this morning. Then this evening, I am going to go to Group Power for the first time in years and stay for Groove afterwards. Ok, so adding Group Power to the mix isn't a huge change, but it's something different.  Different is good... right?

I HAVE To Get It Together

So, I really need to get my act together. I didn't make time for my C25K training like I should have today, and now tomorrow I will have to bust my butt after training with Amy to get the running in. I feel stupid about being lazy today, but I will get it done tomorrow.

So, I debuted the new fiona bra from moving comfort. It was like the mega impact bra, the girls were not moving in that thing, but it did cause some uniboob action, which killed it for me. I think this is going to be a running only bra, because it does not make the girls look as nice as the maia bra, but it keeps them reined in. Mo' boobies, mo' problems.

I did Group Active and Zumba today. The active instructor is probably slightly unbalanced, she doesn't give a break between songs, and I think it's an attempt to kill me because I feel lazy if I take my own break between tracks. Slightly off topic, that instructor came up to me before class and told me that she saw me at church on Sunday. I felt like such a jerk, because I am usually off in my own little world, and chances are that I saw her but it didn't register. I will have to make it a point to look for her on Sunday and say hi. I took Zumba afterwards and it was so much fun as always. It always puts me in such a great mindset which is one of the reasons that I love it so much.
